Does it work offline?

Yes. Capture, record, edit, save, and browse history all work with no network. Internet is only for optional cloud storage.

Where are files saved?

Screenshots: Pictures\ss-capture\YYYY-MM-DD\. Recordings: under AppData ScreenshotApp\recordings\. The editor Save toast can open the folder.

Do you see my screenshots?

Not on Local, and not on Google Drive — Drive is your personal, school, or work account. Cutcompress storage is coming soon. If you later install a new build and opt in, we may look at size, count, and type to plan hosting. We will not share or publish the pictures. See Trust and Privacy.

We use a Google school / company account. Can we still get a link?

Yes. That is a main reason the Drive path exists. After Save, the file can sit in that same Google account and produce a shareable link under your organisation’s Google rules. We do not become the host.

Is there a subscription?

No. The app is free to download. Cutcompress storage and any paid plan are coming later. This site and the Privacy / Terms pages will be updated before that.

What is Continue with Google?

It signs in to your Google account so the app can put files in your Drive. Tokens stay on your machine. We do not receive your Google password.

Can I use Drive and Cutcompress together?

No. Storage destinations are one or the other (XOR), plus Local which is always on.
